e have always enjoyed the belief in the importance of family life and have enjoyed a close family relationship. Here we introduce each family member in brief:

Lyall Family Tree

IANwas born in Hall Green, Birmingham in 1936, educated at Magnus Grammar School. After college and National Service, he entered full time employment. He married Margaret in Chatteris Parish Church in 1964. He is a born again Christian, and is active in the Church of England at St Mary's Church Newark, as a Reader. From 1987-2000, he managed the Christian Bookshop in Newark,retiring at May that year. He has had a life-long interest in recording weather. In 2004 Ian gained a Diploma in German from the Open University (see his writings in German)



Ian

MARGARET was born in Chatteris in 1943 and educated at Cromwell School. She then took an apprenticeship with haute couturier Victor Stiebel, but after meeting Ian, she moved to Newark where she worked in Jane Young's fashion shop, retiring in October 2007. She too is a born-again Christian



Margaret


HANNAH, or elder daughter was born in Newark in 1968. She was educated at Thomas Magnus School, and Nottingham Girls High. She gained a Business Studies with German II(i) degree at Manchester, and now works for Romo Fabrics in Kirkby-in-Ashfield. She married Ian ('Brad') Bradford on 26 September 2004, and they live in Caunton, six miles from Newark. They have a son

VICTORIA was born in 1971. She was educated at Nottingham Girls High School and gained a 1st class degree in German at Leeds University. She married Chris Hutchinson in 1998, and they now live in Barton Seagrave near Kettering, and have three children
